New version of ASpectMS software simplifies analyses with ICP-MS instruments of the PlasmaQuant MS series

A new version of the ASpectMS operating software for Analytik Jena's PlasmaQuant MS series ICP-MS systems is now available. In addition to improvements in user guidance, the report function and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, the new version includes optimizations for plasma performance when using organic samples.

As part of the revision, the control of the "Nitrox Flow" option is now part of the ignition sequence and is added directly after ignition and stabilization of the plasma. This ensures that the user has the best possible plasma performance for organic samples and that the interface is optimally protected from contamination right from the plasma start. Another new feature is the ability to activate spray chamber cooling immediately after plasma ignition and cool it to the desired temperature even before the actual method is run. The possibility of manually purging gas lines allows the ignition sequence to be shortened in time. In addition, innovations in mass calibration provide more flexibility for PlasmaQuant MS series users.

The user interface has been optimized and the user guidance and reporting simplified. The user information system has also been updated and the categorization of events has been revised. This allows users to better assess potential problem situations.

Regarding 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, extensive adjustments have been made to ensure better handling of the software in highly regulated lab environments.
