Biometra Fastblot - Efficient Blotting in the Minimum of Time
Electroblotting is a standard method for transferring proteins and nucleic acids from polyacrylamide gels onto nitrocellulose or other carrier membranes. To enable you to achieve high-quality, publishable results with minimal effort, we at Analytik Jena have developed high-performance Western blot systems that are ideally suited to your needs and thus reliably support you in your tasks.
With the Biometra Semidry blotter, you can reduce your transfer time to a minimum and experience a new level of quality in terms of reproducible qualitative and quantitative protein analysis! Equipped with high-quality plate electrodes made of titanium-coated platinum and stainless steel, a homogeneous voltage field is generated, which ensures fast and homogeneous transfer of biomolecules onto a carrier membrane. At the same time, a uniform temperature distribution over the entire transfer surface is ensured.
Heterogeneous protein mixtures with very different molecular weights or native proteins pose a particular challenge. Cooling water connections on the anode of the Fastblot B43 allow excess heat to be efficiently dissipated, allowing reliable and gentle transfer of challenging samples even at high current levels.
- Compact design and low buffer requirement
- Corrosion-protected plate electrodes made of platinum-coated titanium and stainless steel
- Realization of faster transfer times through effective cooling
